All-American Gospel – Big News!

| As you may know, BarnaFilms (our media division) is co-producing the first-of-it’s-kind national faith-based vocal competition and community event. This is a result of our research among Mosaics showing that not only is music one of the three most influential factors in their life, but that they are seeking ways of expressing their faith and deepening their relationship with God. Beginning in October, churches nationwide will hold auditions for young people between the ages of 14 and 22 to sing their favorite Christian music. (They can audition either live, by tape or online.) The program’s host will be Grammy-winner Michelle Williams, singing star from Destiny’s Child. She’ll be joined by judges such as legendary country singer Randy Travis and Martha Williamson (executive producer and writer of Touched By An Angel, among other shows). The competition will include a “sing-off” among the 12 finalists, which will be simulcast to pa rticipating churches from mid-November through mid-December. Live audience voting will determine the winner. This has the potential to be a tremendous outreach and community-building series of events.
