Lutheran Bible Translators and Milwaukee’s own Gospel Lutheran church with the help of Mission of Christ Lutheran Church, All Nation African Immigrant Church, and other area churches will be hosting Umoja which is Swahili for "Being in Partnership" or "Togetherness". Plan on joining us for this Community in Mission Conference at Gospel Church (address) to enjoy food, fun & fellowship on Sat., Feb. 3, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This special family-friendly missions conference is for all Christians and offers tools for communicating God’s Word with others in a practical & understandable way. There is a wealth of viable tools & ideas that LBT has gained from experience with mission work overseas that can be used in Wisconsin’s home congregations. Examples of workshops for the high school students and adults include: "Practical ways to do a Short-Term Mission Trip", "Doing Missions in Your Own Community", & "Contextualization". Youth ages Pre-k through 8th grade will experience and learn about missions in a fun and interactive way that is especially designed for youth. Along with these workshops, Paul & Wendi Schroeder (graduates of Concordia University Mequon, WI and LBT missionaries to Nigeria) will be leading a session on how God is working in their lives and on the track toward mission work overseas.

Highlights include:

· Main Sessions on overseas & local mission work (Special Focus: Africa)

· Workshops that share tools that will be compatible with what your congregation is already doing for ministry.

· Fun & interactive "Traveling Discoveryland" for kids ages Pre-k - 8th Grade & a nursery available for young children.

· Lunch provided by Mission of Christ Church

Registration Fee: $10/person $15/family All proceeds go toward LBT missionaries Paul & Wendi Schroeder

Contact: Jim Pindras or Peter Slayton 1-800-53-BIBLE (24253) Email: info@LBT.org

Look for updates on the conference on the LBT website www.LBT.org. Registration forms will be mailed to congregations in the South Wisconsin District and will be available online.
