I never imagined when I wrote this post that it would hit home to so many pastors on such a personal level. But it makes me wonder how many of our brothers in ministry are stuck in the same place. Do I really want my church to grow like the Church did in Acts? What would that mean for me? Can I lead such change? I know how to pastor this flock but a flock of 2,000 or more. Imagine what staffing needs that would cause? Imagine how many weekend services that could lead to? And no way do I want to go through another building project? Let's just stay where we are and control the burn! That sounds so much easier, a lot more comfortable.  But did God call us to be comfortable or fruitful?  I believe He called us to be both faithful and fruitful and not worry about what changes or discomfort that would bring.  He leads us through whatever He wants to do in our places.  Trust him!
