This has been one of those weeks where wierd things have been happening.  We almost lost two members and did lose one.  And the congregation is asking the question "What is going on?  There are times in our lives where things just don't seem to make sense.  When a relatively healthy person just drops dead.  Or a young boy is hit by a car going to the mailbox.  And we stop and ask the question, "Lord, what is going on here?"  We are waiting for life to make some sense.  The problem is life doesn't make sense and death makes even less sense.  You see all of our days are numbered and only the one who brought us into existance knows what that number is.  Oh we all have suggestions for that number, but only he controls it.  So what do we do then, run around and worry about it?  No! He has told us will worry add one more minute to your life.  No!  What this week has reminded me is that we should make the most out of the time he has given us.  Leave a lasting legacy, through the people whose lives you come into contact with.  Don't waste a single minute.  Tell the ones you love how important they are to you everyday.  Live each day as though it were you last.  This week proved that it could very well be.
