That is a good question. I often think that this is an area I need to work on but I wonder how? How do I get closer to God? I does my walk with him become more consistent? How do I know he even cares?

I have discovered that one thing people lose sight of is how close God really is. God is present and talking with us through his holy Word. He is really present with us in the Lord's Supper. There is the promise that "This is my Body" "This is My Blood" I am truly here when you eat and drink. God is also present with us in our Prayer time. So if you focus on just those areas your walk with God may seem more consistent. But don't forget Satan is always trying to disrupt your focus and lead you away from God.
