At the beginning of the 1999 the leadership of Gospel realized that the mission statement we had was just words on paper, so we decided to start from ground zero. We torn up the old mission statement and started the process all over again. We sat down and studied what God's word said to us about our mission and our purpose. We looked at what our core values were. What are those things that make us weep and pound the table? We looked at ourselves, at our Lutheran heritage and agreed that no matter what the truth about Jesus Christ death and resurrection for the sin of the whole world must not be compromised. And out of those meetings came these three new statments: Our mission, our purpose and our vision. The amazing thing about all of this is that now after six years we can see the mission and the purpose and the vision coming to life right before our eyes. These are the most exciting times. We are reaching the lost with the Gospel. Below are those three statements.
Our mission is to lead the lost to salvation in Christ and to equip believers to live a fruitful life in him.
Our purpose is to develop a caring Christian family reflecting and celebrating Christ's love for all
Our vision is to reach the lost people in the city of Milwaukee with the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to bring salvation to everyone; to transform the believer by beginning to heal their hurts; to build a loving, caring community where faith, hope, and love are lived and demonstrated.
